Laying on a heated blanket, tucked into another soft blanket, warm sweater, head on her pillow... What a life.

#have her in Sam's sweater rn even though the fit isnt as nice #bittersweet as always #glad i can give her a life a doggie luxury. hopefully only to be enhanced by a sibling...#ive been worrying a lot lately that she might be happier as a single child. all the love. all the toys. all the best sleep spots #she's always so grumpy about sharing when we have visitors... hopefully she'll be even happier in the end to have a partner in crime #and she'll have time to come around to it since the puppy wont be just. suddenly all in her space #there'll be crate training and we'll do the run setup like we did with her. misty won't have to fully share her space for quite a while #we didn't let her free roam the house unsupervised until she was over a year after all #idk. im excited about puppy but also kinda dreading upsetting our peaceful balance. the potential dog drama in particular is not my favorite #when i brought sam home all those years ago i knew there'd be no problems. we had a couple dogs already and they both adored puppies #and male dogs in particular. so sam just was instantly adored by all #and i was 14 too so like. not as worried about dynamics. i knew id have to get a boy dog but otherwise no worries #im struggling a lot with anxiety rn so mostly thats what this is. been thinking about this but mostly not super worried until now...#anyways anyways. probably worrying for nothing. enjoy Misty's cute sleeps #misdemeanor #whippet #dogblr #petblr

my mom is making a "disciplinary whip" for my dog.

#cw animal abuse #tw abuse #immediate trigger warning as this is just straight up abuse #wanna know why? because she got mad at him for being hyper because he's hungry #because my older brother won't feed him at a consistent time #and all they do is yell at him to “sit down” even though he's ansty about something #either it be he wants to go outside or he's hungry #anyway she hit the table with it in my general direction and I got really scared she was gonna hit me #because she used to “beat” me with a wooden plank fron my old bed #and she keeps making me really uncomfortable whenever she talks about this thing because she's always joking about it #like WHIPPING the dog is a normal and acceptable thing #also in the same 10 minutes she threatened to kick the dog #like kick him directly in his face #he didn't flinch at all. which upsets me because he has virtually no survival instinct around my mom #she'll do this thing where she'll neglect him emotionally (in a sense) if he angers her and be really hostile towards him #and then she'll shower him with love and give him treats and everything and then the second he does something “wrong” it's back to the hate #like why would she fucking get a dog just to treat him like shit #like he's a little hardheaded but I mean He's a Dog.#anyway I feel too much empathy for him because I'm also an animal and go through the same cycles with my mom #I wish I could take him with me when I leave because I can't #if I get another dog it's gonna be specifically a service animal and I wouldn't be able to take care of him as I would need to #hopefully I can convince her to give him away to someone I know and trust because I'm tired of her shit with MY animals #anyway. rant over. this is a touchy thing for me #-jael

#as applied to my castmate: she's been creepily flirting with the trans women in our cast but she also doesn't respect anyone's pronouns #and uses transphobic language to talk about one of her friends. she's a real piece of work #and as soon as the show is over I plan to tell my director about her behavior. hopefully she gets dropped #considering my director is also a trans woman and one of the girls my castmate's been weird about I expect she'll listen to me

it seems to me like eldest tries really hard to make it seem like arya has a lot of personality and complexity as a character and frankly it's not really working imho. like. there's a scene that really frustrates me. where we're told that she and eragon sit and talk about their families, their lives and whatnot, but that dialogue just. doesn't exist. how the hell am i supposed to see her as something other than a clear attempt from paolini to create "ideal woman who is so perfect and wonderful and yet will eventually fall for our protagonist"? give her some depth! make it make sense to me that eragon would be interested in her, aside from the fact that she's oh so beautiful. paolini makes him literally say to her that he cares about his friendship with her, but tbh i don't think any of us do either because their friendship has never been properly developed. most of the time it's eragon's inner monologue going "wow she's so pretty and wonderful and has such stealth and her figure and her hair and omg she'd never be with me :(" and her being mean to the dwarves or smth.
